Mixed media painting: Japanese paper collage and acrylic paint.

This painting is based on a photograph I was lucky enough to take about a decade ago. I spotted a monarch butterfly, and followed it to some flowers nearby. It landed, and while pollinating the flowers, opened its wings for me. A truly magical moment.
